All certifications offered by the International Association of Information Assurance Professionals(2IAP) must follow the certification process outlined below:
Submit Application and remit payment
All applicants must follow the instructions within the application and remit payment to 2IAP. Application submission can be done by email, postal mail, or fax. Payment can be done online or fax using a credit card.

Adhere to 2IAP’s code of ethics
We believe that all certification holders act in a professional & responsible way. All applicants must agree to the 2IAP Code of Ethics to guide professional and personal conduct.
Agree to comply with the Continuing Education Policy
2IAP requires all certification holders to continue learning while certified. Continuous learning allows certification holders to maintain a level of knowledge and proficiency. Maintenance fees and a minimum required amount of credit hours will be required annually.

You must score a passing grade on the certification exam. For a limited time only, grandfathering is open, which allows you to bypass the certification exam.
Successfully pass the phone interview
You must successfully pass a subject matter interview over the phone to verify your expertise, experience, and identity.
Successful validation of work experience and references
2IAP will verify all work experiences and references for every applicant.
