Interview Process

The International Association of Information Assurance Professionals (2IAP) uses a unique interview process to further validate your knowledge, professionalism, experience, and speaking ability.

After you complete the application and exam (For a limited time the exam is waived) we will contact you regarding times for a phone interview. This interview will go over your work history, education, and content of the certification your trying to obtain. Applicants should expect open ended questions related to their certification.

The process can take up to several hours to complete. The time of the phone interview is not an indicator of pass or fail. All applicants must agree to have the conversation recorded for grading and training purposes. Interviews will be graded on a point system based on each question and be given a pass or fail.

If an applicant fails the interview, all application fee’s will be forfeited. An applicant has the option to schedule a 2nd interview for a fee of $100.00. This must be scheduled at least one month after the initial phone interview. If an applicant fail’s both interviews then all fee’s will be forfeited and the applicant must go through the application process again.
